Data Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Data engineering: Designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines to collect, process, and transform data
- Data modeling: Creating and optimizing data models to represent the structure and relationships within the data
- ETL (Extract Transform Load): Extracting data from various sources, transforming it into a usable format, and loading it into a data warehouse or database
- Data warehousing: Designing and managing data storage solutions for efficient querying and reporting
- Data analytics: Analyzing and interpreting data to extract insights and inform decision-making
- Communication with the customer(s) on a daily basis, given the project-focused nature of the role
Requirements:
- Data Engineering and Data Modeling skills
- Experience with ETL (Extract Transform Load) and Data Warehousing
- Data Analytics skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database management systems
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Programming skills in languages such as Python or Java
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Understanding of data governance and data security best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Business fluent English is a must
Nice to have:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate)
- German language knowledge
