Data Engineer (Azure, Databricks)
Responsibilities:
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Data Engineer (Azure, Databricks) at adesso Hungary. The Data Engineer will be responsible for developing, constructing, testing, and maintaining highly scalable data management systems. They will design, code, and test database architectures to support software applications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into data solutions.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining a Lakehouse architecture in an Azure environment.
- Developing and managing data pipelines to ensure efficient data flow and processing.
- Building a comprehensive data catalog in the Azure environment.
- Collaborating with various functional teams to understand data requirements and provide effective data services.
- Monitoring and optimizing the performance and scalability of data processes.
- Ensuring data integrity, data security, and compliance with industry standards.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Azure data technologies, including Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL Data Warehouse
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and Shell scripting
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes
- Knowledge of data quality, data governance, and data security best practices
- Familiarity with big data technologies, such as Hadoop and Spark
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Certifications (optional):
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate
- Databricks Certified Professional Data Engineer
