In the middle of Germany and in the centre of the city is our adesso location Jena. The proximity to research and teaching is definitely given on site: Just 100 meters separate the office from the university. Jena is the cradle of e-commerce and still breathes this spirit today - Intershop, SalesForce B2C and commercetools are based here. So we are in good company!

There are plenty of catering options on site, with the pedestrian zone with restaurants and shops on the doorstep. All overnight guests are personally escorted through Wagnergasse (the gastronomic heart of the city). The surrounding area offers a wide variety of challenges for all tastes: Saale-Weinmeile, Jena-Horizontale and, a little further afield, the Rennsteiglauf.

The Jena office is located right in the centre. Three times a week, the Jena weekly market, which you can look down on from the offices, offers a wide range of products from the region. There is also a bakery below the office with a rich, delicious assortment. An Edeka and an Aldi are within a 5-minute walk. Directly adjacent are several kebab snack bars and Asian restaurants. Wagnergasse offers further delicacies with numerous restaurants. The secret adessi favourite is the Zur Noll restaurant.

Colleagues regularly get together for breakfast and enjoy bread rolls, coffee and cake in a cosy atmosphere, paired with interesting lectures and up-to-date information about the office. In spring and summer, the "Strandschleicher" is the perfect meeting place to go swimming and have a beer or wine after work. Likewise, every year a few motivated adessi are found to represent our office at the company run.

In the small but beautiful city of Jena, there are a few sights worth visiting. The Zeiss Planetarium always has a current programme worth seeing. In summer you can relax in the nearby Botanical Garden, go canoeing on the Saale, swim in the indoor swimming pool Galaxsea or in the outdoor pools Südbad or Ostbad.

Jena also offers museums: the City Museum, the Optical Museum, the Phyletic Museum ... and many more. And the surrounding area offers challenges for all weight categories: the Saale Wine Mile, the Jena Horizontal and, a little further away, the Rennsteig Run. The evening can easily be spent in Wagnergasse and Bachstraße, which run parallel to it. You will always find the right restaurant or bar here.
